HRB Pacific was established in 2000, and our relationship with Zhongce Rubber began the following year. From a small husband-and-wife business, HRB Pacific grew into an Australian tyre distributor supported by our staff, customers and the Zhongce group.

Starting from scratch

Direct relationships with the market

In 2001, tyres manufactured in China were less familiar to many people in the Australian market. We believed the product could speak for itself, so an early customer received two tyres for a practical trial. That first order developed into a long-standing business relationship and family friendship.

We saw an opportunity to work closely with local mechanical workshops that already had strong relationships with drivers in their communities.

A relationship-led marketing strategy

We have always believed that business is not only about revenue; it is also about building value. Support from Zhongce representatives was important in the early years, from promotional material to understanding the market and maintaining customer relationships.

Workshops, truck drivers, delivery drivers and taxi operators helped us understand the industry. The more people we met, the more practical knowledge we gained.

Maintaining relationships became a priority. A business card and a short conversation are rarely enough, so communication needs to begin early and continue. Rewarding loyal customers and listening to referrals helped create mutual value.

That relationship-led approach continues to shape how HRB Pacific supports tyre stores and trade customers today.
